Students are expected do all the 13 modules totalling 241 Credits. A student is expected to pass all the Modules. Classes are limited to four-hour classes per week over a period of one and a half year, followed by three months of Work Place Environment Experience. The students are expected to study five hours a week outside the seminar session, including completing workbooks and read a total of 400 pages of related material per module per term. Tests, Assignments and Examinations are standard for each module.
The Living Word Theological Institute courses for Christian Religious Professionals can also be done part-time by correspondence as these correspondence courses contain the same content as the day/evening modular programme. Students studying by correspondence courses may use tapes which are recorded during day/evening modular seminars, in addition to workbooks and study guides which are supplied for each module. The relevant lecturers get a list of correspondence students doing their subjects. Lecturers communicate with their students so as to increase the quality of the studies done by students in a Distance Education model.
The curriculum design of Living Word Theological Institute enables study in various ways to suit particular circumstances; morning and evening seminars, Saturday seminars, intensive contact sessions, and correspondence courses. Accessibility is the key. The course consists of modules spread through areas: Knowledge module, Practical module, and Workplace module
Each Knowledge modular subject is composed of
Practical modules composed of Practical works that facilitators design for a particular subject
Workplace modules are part of training where a learner is assigned to a church or ministry for a specified period. A designated person in that church or ministry is mandated to assess that learner using assessment rubrics that the Institution has designed.
These three components are the usual basis for the marking and gaining credits, although requirements may be modified by the lecturer depending on the module. In all of this, Living Word Theological Institute desires to stress the importance of practical application. The student’s experience, service for the Lord, and the Church activities are considered in the whole academic process. Living Word Theological Institute aims for the integration of Christian experience and service with studies and seminars.
Living Word Theological Institute follows a modular-based education model whereby students can build upon previous study and have convenient exit through a graded series of modules. The programme, however, is designed to enable students to complete a two-year diploma by attending day or evening classes

The PLP in Drafting Legislation, Regulation, and Policy has been offered by the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies with considerable success since 2004.
The programme aims to promote an understanding of the principles of legislative and an awareness of what constitutes legislative quality, how this can be achieved.
Legislative drafting is often perceived as a skill that one learns on the job.
Legislative drafting has evolved to become the bedrock of political, economic and social transformation. The view of the Institute’s Sir William Doe Centre for Legislative Studies is that legislative drafting is a practical discipline requiring awareness of the principles of drafting along with great experience on the job. It is still, however, relatively unexplored as a discipline. The PLP examines issues related to the policy process, the legislative process and the drafting process.
The PLP is aimed at those seeking a career in legislative drafting, those already working as drafters or those who want a career in or already working for, organizations that produce different types of normative acts. Many of our students are mid-career drafters employed by government (for example, by LG Chambers, the Ministry of Justice or any other ministries).
